ABOUT US
We are an award-winning collaborative of 30+ organizations dedicated to providing personal protective equipment (PPE) to Community Health Workers (CHWs) on the frontlines of Africa’s COVID-19 response. Our goal is to raise up to $100 million to supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to CHWs in 20+ African countries with approximately one year’s supply of PPE.
WHO ARE WE
We match donated PPE with government-identified gaps and conduct end-use verification processes with in-country partners to document arrival and distribution of the supplies. We are integrated with national responses and are currently the only known effort that pools resources for PPE items specifically for community health workers in Africa.
Community Health Acceleration Partnership (CHAP)
The Community Health Acceleration Partnership (CHAP) works to build stronger, more effective community-health systems through catalytic investments and strategic engagement. CHAP is supported by Jeff Walker, English Sall and Austin Hearst.
Direct Relief
Direct Relief is a humanitarian aid organization, active in all 50 states and more than 80 countries, with a mission to improve the health and lives of people affected by poverty or emergencies – without regard to politics, religion, or ability to pay.
VillageReach
VillageReach transforms health care delivery to reach everyone, so that each person has the health care needed to thrive. We develop solutions that improve equity and access to primary health care. This includes making sure products are available when and where they are needed and primary health care services are delivered to the most under-reached. Radical collaboration with governments, the private sector and other partners strengthen our ability to scale and sustain these solutions. Our work increases access to quality health care for 43 million people in sub-Saharan Africa.
Community Health Impact Coalition
The Community Health Impact Coalition exists to make professionalized community health workers a norm worldwide. We catalyze the adoption of high-impact community health systems design by: (i) identifying practices that lead to quality care delivery and (ii) accompanying partners to adopt those practices.
Pandemic Action Network
The Pandemic Action Network advocates for policy changes and increased support and resources to ensure countries are better prepared to prevent, detect and respond to pandemic threats. Joining forces with leaders around the globe, the Network is comprised of multi-sector organizations with a mission is to promote policies that save the most lives and protect livelihoods, both during this COVID-19 crisis and in future pandemics.
